Ravel’s\u00a0\u00a0family business<\/a> opened 1837, and is now ran by the fifth generation. The offer goes from terracota pots in classic shapes, to the designers pieces: Jean-Marie Massaud just signed the Uluru collection. It also spans all shapes and sizes, from the 10 cm herb pot, to the enormous 1m diameter pot that can safely hold a mature olive tree. Ravel has been labeled \u00ab\u00a0Entreprise du patrimoine vivant\u00a0\u00bb for the continuity of their excellent production, rooted in history.<\/p>\n

The showroom spreads through out the original building, with it’s terracotta ceilings and stone walls<\/p>\n

The latest venture is the revival in 2011 of the fabric section: the boutique Philogene Ravel <\/a>(from the name of the ancestor who ran the filature section of the Decroix-Ravel business, the original tiled sign of the filature is still visible) is nestled within the poterie Ravel and offers unassuming but absolutely must have traditional plain and striped linen.<\/p>\n
