Although the wording \u00a0Boutique Hotel is being now widly abused, the concept of Boutique is definitely one I enjoy. <\/em><\/div>\n
Whether it is boutique hotel or boutique shop (just boutique in French), <\/em>if they truly reflect an individuality and <\/em><\/div>\n
preserve some trace of the passing of time,\u00a0<\/em>their charm is overwelming. <\/em><\/div>\n

With it’s fresh patio, and the collections presented in the different rooms of this bourgeois apartment, the temptation to try things on is definitely stronger.<\/div>\n

This had always been a traditional pub, so when taking it over in 2002 Nicole Farhi kept it’s look and function, but adapted it to her style. The ground floor is now a french bistro fitted with mismatched tables and chairs from French Brocantes, and her collection is on sale in the basement. The food is simple but delicious, the staff very friendly and the whole place very welcoming to mums-with-pushchairs, so it became an instant hit with local mums and fashionistas alike.<\/div>\n

Jigsaw Westbourne Grove hasn\u2019t changed since I first discovered it at the end of last century (now that makes one feel really old\u2026), well before Westbourne grove became that fashionista hotspot, <\/em><\/div>\n
and when Daylesford organic was Fresh and Wild.\u00a0 Must be quite rare in the world of fashion were everything just has to keep changing,<\/em>but here it is, that perfect corner of large changing rooms, <\/em><\/div>\n
with a sitting area in front for tired and bored husbands and kids, which makes them much more tolerant to waiting\u2026 <\/em><\/div>\n
only the huge sofa has been replaced by a couple of large armchairs, it probably got totally worn out!<\/em><\/div>\n

One of the nice things about not living in London any more (the other obvious one being not having to withstand the weather..), is that one gets to try out the hotels….\u00a0<\/em>Here in San Domenico house, one feels invited in some friends (grand) home. Now I have to explain my friends why that is that we are not staying with them!<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n
