Yet another incongouus experience with the festival MIMI<\/a> in the ruins of the Hospital Caroline, at the top of one of the hills of the Frioul Island. It was used as a quarantine spot until WWII, when it was bombed and subsequently abandoned.<\/p>\n

It all starts with the shuttle from the Vieux Port<\/p>\n

and here we are at the Hopital Caroline, national monument \u00ab\u00a0en cours de restoration\u00a0\u00bb…. and happily used by MIMI<\/a><\/p>\n

…and the \u00ab\u00a0cherry on the cake\u00a0\u00bb: suddenly something very strange appears in the temple along with a guy wearing red boots and red santiags, who looks a lot like Robert Guediguian’s fetiche actor Jean-Pierre Garroussin and a great big camera on those rails, like a movie camera…….turns out\u00a0Robert Guediguian<\/a>\u00a0is filming a scene of his last film, in which his fetiche actress Ariane Ascaride accomplishes her dream of signing a cabaret song in hopital Caroline (Robert Guediguian’s world is centred in Marseille and has loads of references to local spots and traditions, I loved them before we ever lived in Marseille as they realy have universal appeal, but have a blast now…) and we are asked to play the cheering crowd, no problem with that!!<\/p>\n
