Chronic of a renovation Part II: the decoration
We move in an almost empty house, except for two large sofas in the living room, kitchen table and chairs, and beds in every bedroom to cater for the 4 families + who joined us in the inauguration. The numerous fitted cupboards with reclaimed antique doors com in very handy..We will take our time in getting the right piece of furniture from the flea markets or local brocante.
December 2001: it’s cold outside, but very warm inside with plenty of friends to inaugurate the house!
The house is slowly furnished with antiques and flee market finds
The miniature buffet is part Ikea, part flee market, all painted grey, it comes together as a mini kitchen , to the delight of our little ones!
few furnitures but loads of ideas for the decoration!
The courtyard starts of with the traditionnal iron furniture
Vintage desk chair in the office
and Alexandre Motte’s paintings start illuminating the walls
With our move back from Chile with a container full of Mei Line’s furniture, the house’s interiors is truly completed.
