As a Stark-designed hotel, you can expect some drama within the public space, and that’s really the case starting with the yellow-lit access staircase and the loft-industrialish common-room breakfast lounge with quirky a mix of utilitarian objects like the carts, cosy chesterfields and blazing fire. However, I was much less impressed by the fast-food style breakfast.
Exploring a bit further revealed a dark, handsome and fun library, much quieter and civilised, in which to drown oneself into one of the good photography or architecture books, in the company of cows with fancy hats, and a purple billard table…
Très original ! je m’y installerai bien pour quelques nuits, et en tant que Normande d’adoption, les vaches chapeautées me plaisent beaucoup.
