..celebrating the 40 years of the soft « Carnation Revolution », were Salazar’s « Estado Novo »‘s dictatorship state was put down peacefully by the army and the people, carnation flowers were put at the end of the rifles by army officers. Nice to know that at a time when Chile was drowning into hideous dictatorship, somewhere else in the world, people were coming out of it. Some iconic pictures of that revolution were exhibited in various squares in town
