Some views of the new Docks, once more renovated to allow for shops, cafes and restaurants to open up on the ground floor of this Marseille’s landmark. This time by 5+1 AA architect.

The result is not as beautifully preserved as it was before (see here) but it is now able to receive public on a much bigger scale.  The large basin of the first patio has been emptied and replaced by a sunk courtyard, but thankfully, the huge palm trees of the last patio have been miraculously preserved!

Pretty cool choice of shopping in terms of design, vintage and fashion (all totally foreign to the mall spirit of those across the street… )… and in case you get hungry and/or tired, the choice of cafe, delis and restaurant is plentiful too :))
